Drilling and Tapping Machines and Parts


	There are two basic types of machines, DRILL & TAP or DRILL Only, with both styles illustrated.

Drill & Tap: To Drill a hole, Tap threads and insert a Corporation Stop into a main under pressure.

		Drill Only: To Drill a hole through a Corporation Stop Or Other shutoff valve into a main under pressure.

	WET TAPPING Main is Under Pressure

These machines drill and thread the water main and inserts a 1/2" or larger size corporation stop directly into the main under pressure. With the proper Plug Adapter they can also remove old corporation stops and replace it with a new style.


	B100 - B101 SERIES

Capacities:
WET: Corporation stops 1/2" - 1"
Pipe Plugs: 1/2" - 2-1/2"
DRY: Corporation stops 1-1/4" - 2"

The Mueller B-100 machine was first introduced in 1957 as the replacement series for the Mueller "B" series.
The B-101 design was first offered in 1962 as a option to the B100 with additional safety features. It has since replaced the B100 although most parts are interchangeable. We stock New Units as well as a complete inventory of OEM Parts.


	"B" MACHINE SERIES PARTS

The "B" machine was produced by Mueller for decades with the end of the production series in the mid 1970s. All parts are still available.


	A2/A3 MACHINE SERIES

Capacities:
WET: Corporation stops 3/4" - 2"
Pipe Plugs: 1/2" - 2-1/2"

The A2/A3 Drill and Tap units can Direct Wet Tap and install under pressure any size corporation stop Up To and including 2"sizes. The A3 design was first offered in 1962 as a option to the A2 with additional safety features. It has since replaced the A2 although most parts are interchangeable. We stock New Units as well as a complete inventory of OEM Parts.




Drilling Machines

Drilling machines are primarily used with service saddles [green] and corporation stops [red] to make lateral service connections under pressure. Drilling machines can also be used to drill through any valve or fitting to which they can be attached.

	* Based on various sizes of corporation stops that can be drilled through. Drill size is one size smaller than corp. stop. example; A 1" size corporation would normally require a 7/8" drill size be used. 2" size would use a 1-7/8" drill.


	E4 / E5 SERIES

Capacity: for drilling operations under pressure
7/16" to 1-7/8" inclusive
500 PSI maximum working pressure.
This popular series has been available for over 50 years. The E4 was for hand operation only. In March of 1966 the E5 was introduced which was a modified E4 with power operation added and a locked feed tube and yoke design. It has since replaced the E4 although most parts are interchangeable. 	D4 / D5 SERIES

Capacity: Drilling operations under pressure
5/8" to 2" Inclusive
500 PSI maximum working pressure.
This popular series has been available for over 50 years. The D4 was for hand operation only. In July of 1964 the D5 was introduced which was a modified D4 with power operation added and a locked feed tube and yoke design. It has since replaced the D4 although most parts are interchangeable. We stock New Units as well as a complete inventory of OEM Parts.


	PL1 / PL2 SERIES

For drilling operations under pressure on PVC Pipe ONLY
11/16" and 7/8" cutters inclusive.
200 PSI maximum working pressure.

ECONOMICAL -compact, lightweight design.
BORING BAR DRIVE HEX - permits operation with a standard 3/8" drive ratchet handle and 7/16" socket.




	TruCut SERIES

For drilling operations under pressure on PVC pipe ONLY
Capacity: 11/16" and 7/8" inclusive
200 psig maximum working pressure

COMPACT DESIGN robust yet lightweight for easy use.
INDEPENDENT TOOL FEED & CUTTING SPEED manual feed yoke allows independent control for smooth cutting.


	PAC 100

For "hot" tapping through a corporation stop or valve attached to a service saddle. For quick economical taps in sizes 1/2" through 2".

This designed drilling machine has been sold under a variety of name brands for over 40 years. If you own a unit pictured just like this we here at L&C have the parts to keep this tool performing.


	DMPVC

For drilling operations under pressure on PVC pipe ONLY
Capacity: 3/4" (11/16") and 1" (7/8") inclusive
200 psig maximum working pressure

The DMPVC tool consists of the base unit and corp adapters in a carrying case. It utilizes Reed PVC shell cutters which are sold separately. The DMPVCBASE machine consists of the base unit, allowing the customer to purchase individual corporation adapters and the necessary shell cutters for either 3/4" or 1" corporation size.


	8200

Capacity: 3/4" - 2" : in Steel, Cast Iron, Ductile, and Plastic Pipe
250 psig maximum working pressure

Hand operated and designed for drilling holes in active water lines up to 250 psi. It is lightweight and easy for one man to setup and use. Complete with ratchet, tool box, and accessories for making 3/4" and 1" holes. Adapters are available for various corporation stops and valves.
